#43: Games for Palestine

I. Dear Reader

This week, I’m excited about the indie games bundle for Palestinian aid. It’s got a 1000+ games (about 300 ttrpgs) and they have already raised $150k of their $500k target. The bundle is a huge community effort with the co-operation of itch.io – like the bundle for Racial Justice last year. Please contribute. The highest contribution is something like a thousand dollars? Though the minimum is only 5$!

If you do buy the bundle, a good way to browse the games you’ve purchased is through this site which was initially built for the Racial Justice bundle last year.

If you like PbtA, there’s games like Sagas of the Icelanders, Moonpunk, Fight Item Run, Home Again and Shoot N Loot.

If you like GM-less games, check out An Altogether Different River and Cobwebs and many worldbuilding games like Smoke Fuel and Fire

If you like solo games, there’s a lot of games inspired the Wretched like Operation Swordbreak as well as original work like the Magus.

If you like OSR, there’s lots of stuff for Troika! like Liquid Science Doom and Moonshot as well as original games like Robots and Ruins and The Corruption of Pelursk

In solidarity,

Thomas

II. Listen of the Week

A lovely review of Ultraviolet Grasslands by someone who played a campaign in the setting. I’m prepping to run a one shot set in the UVG setting so this was extra fun to watch.

  • ARC is a beautifully dark, defiantly hopeful RPG where humble heroes slay the apocalypse. Now on Kickstarter – brought by Exalted Funeral together with momatoes and extraordinary talents from #RPGSEA.

  • Laser Ponies, the game of adorable ponies who shoot lasers from their eyes, is on sale now! This complete all-ages RPG includes the adventure “The Mystery of the Menacing Meteorite!”
